Mobility Report Card

Durham - Chapel Hill - Carrboro (DCHC) Metropolitan Planning Organization, North Carolina

As part of an on-call contract with the Durham - Chapel Hill - Carrboro (DCHC) Metropolitan Planning Organization, Renaissance recently contributed to DCHC's first ever digital Mobility Report Card. The report card tracks trends on the region’s multimodal transportation system across 12 topics including highway level of service, bike and pedestrian activity, transit ridership, and overall multimodal mobility.

Renaissance provided the analysis and documentation for the Mobility Report Card. Renaissance assisted the MPO in describing, validating, and mapping the data, which included diverse datasets from Durham, Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Hillsborough, and Chatham County. The Mobility Report Card includes a printed report, an electronic report consisting of interactive web maps and data visualizations, and an executive summary to communicate the issues, trends, and findings to a broad audience. The Mobility Report Card is a key component of the MPO’s congestion management process and other planning efforts, offering a go-to resource for multimodal system conditions and trends.

The full, digital Mobility Report Card and 12 Dashboards were published as an interactive story map in the fall of 2020.
