Long Range Transportation Plans Click here
RPG has successfully completed numerous plans for Florida’s Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPOs). The plans have included travel model development, validation and applications, strategic visioning, extensive use of GIS and other analytical tools, and extensive public involvement integrated with the technical work effort. For the Brevard MPO 2020 Long Range Transportation Plan, RPG developed a practical and effective socioeconomic data allocation model to better address attraction and land supply factors in travel demand modeling. We have developed long range plans that addressed a full range of modes involving multiple counties and MPOs in West Central Florida, the Treasure Coast Region of Florida and Birmingham, Alabama.

RPG’s integration of land use planning, urban design, transportation planning, and technology brings significant expertise, holistic perspectives, effective implementation strategies, and cutting-edge technology tools to large-scale planning projects. RPG has provided comprehensive community, sector, and corridor master planning services to a number of clients, including the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council, the jointly-funded Plan East Gainesville project, Marion County, and the City of Maitland.

RPG offers a variety of multimodal transportation planning services, including development of multimodal level of service standards for concurrency management systems, bicycle and pedestrian master planning, and transit planning and operations analyses. Examples include the Public Transit Systems Analyses for Sarasota/Manatee and Polk Counties, and transit circulation plans for Boca Raton.

Public Involvement/Consensus Building
RPG integrates public involvement into the majority of its projects, using its significant staff experience in public participation, specialized feedback and consensus building techniques, FormZ three-dimensional community design modeling software, and project-specific Web sites with project information and public discussion boards.

Land Use, Transportation, and Fiscal Impact Modeling
RPG specializes in innovative and technically sound modeling and analysis for a range of planning projects. RPG developed CorPlan , an innovative geographic information system (GIS) tool for land planning that instantly quantifies the impacts of land use scenarios using a spectrum of community land use patterns and urban forms. RPG also uses Arcview and ArcInfo GIS packages and the most current transportation analysis and modeling tools, including TransCAD, TranPlan, MINUTP, ART-PLAN, and FSUTMS.

Development Impact Fees and Concurrency Management Systems
RPG specializes in the integration of transportation system needs assessment with corresponding financing mechanisms, based on staff’s extensive experience with impact fee methodologies, transportation modeling, and fiscal impact analysis. RPG and its principal staff have developed Concurrency Management Systems and impact fee updates for the Cities of Ocoee, Oviedo, Key West, Maitland, Casselberry, and Destin, and for Brevard County and Pinellas County.

Other services include transportation project impact assessment, livable streets, bicycle/pedestrian/trails planning, transportation demand management and forecasting, and course development and training.
